Grizzly Bears in June
I’ll start posting photos from June in Katmai National Park. Although the beginning of June can still be bleak, by mid/late June the sedge grass fields on the Alaskan coasts are brilliant green. The sedge grass, pictured here, is an important high protein food source and large congregations of bears can often be seen in meadows such as this one.
